Julia Smith founded People Science Consulting following a successful 23 year career in Human Resources, Organisational Development and Business Psychology. Having held a number of senior leadership roles both in the UK and globally, she set up People Science Consulting to support organisations with impactful and lasting solutions to their organisational and people needs.
Julia has worked for a wide range of companies, from small, medium sized enterprises to global multinationals. She has worked for some of the world’s largest and most admired brands such as Virgin, GE, Johnson & Johnson and Orange.
Licenses & Certifications
Julia has led a number of significant change programmes from culture change to major restructuring to M&A integrations as well as start ups and site closures. She has experience in cultural transformations, organisation design and resilience. From early in her career, Julia’s approach has been to get under the skin of a business, understanding what makes it tick and then developed and delivered an HR strategy in tune with the business strategy.
During her career, Julia has led global organisation, talent and development programmes. She has extensive expertise in performance management having designed, built and implemented performance management approaches in a variety of companies, cultures and countries.
Julia has been interested in, and practicing psychometric testing and profiling since 2003. Accredited in a number of well regarded profiling, development and assessment tools, she has put them to good use to support team and individual development. She has particular interest in personality psychology, neuroscience and cognitive psychology, all of which have growing relevance in the world of work.
